KHS16N for everyday parking
The KOVIX KHS16N is a compact D lock with a thick, 16mm steel shackle. You can use it on a brake disc that has enough space, or with a suitable security chain. It is worth considering if you want one lock for either setup.
KHS16N steel body and shackle
Both the body and shackle are made from hardened steel. KOVIX describes the shackle as cut- and saw-resistant, with a cylinder designed to resist picking and drilling. The black finish gives the lock a neat, understated appearance.
Check the space for a 16mm shackle
Check that the 16mm shackle can pass through your disc opening and that the body can close without touching nearby wheel components. For chain use, check the size of the end link as well. A thick shackle is useful only when it fits the setup you plan to use.
KHS16N, KV10 or KNX15
The KHS16N gives you the option of using a separate chain. The KV10 is a stainless steel disc lock with a 10mm pin, while the KNX15 adds a 120dB alarm and a 14mm pin. Choose the style you need after checking your bike’s disc measurements.
KHS16N alarm and chain
The KHS16N has no electronic alarm. A compatible security chain is sold separately. The model code on the lock and retail pack is KHS16N, so use that code when checking this product.
Using your KHS16N
Remove the lock before moving the bike. A reminder cable, bought separately, can make this easier to remember. Keep the keyway clean and follow the care instructions supplied with the lock.
